Holiday VoxBox '12

I received my Holiday VoxBox from Influenster.com last week and, I was so excited to open it and see what goodies were inside.

The box included:
  • Kiss Nail Dress - this box has 28 strips for finger nails AND toes. $6.99
  • NYC New York Color Liquid Lipshine in Nude York City $2.49
  • Eboost in Pink Lemonade flavor $39 for a box of 30
  • Quaker Real Medleys Oatmeal in Summer Berry flavor $1.79
  • Goody QuikStype Microfiber Brush $11.99
  • $25 off my first paid on shoes from Sole Society
The NYC lipshine smells great ( gotta love a lipgloss that smells good). I liked the applicator brush it applied the product very evenly. The color Nude York City (cute name) is a perfect nude shade for almost all skin colors. I was afraid this was gonna be one of those sticky glosses that my hair sticks too (eww). But, it was NOT sticky at all. I really like this one.

I have yet to try the Kiss Nail Dress because I had a fresh manicure when I got my VoxBox. I plan to try these this week so, I will let you know all the deets soon enough.

The taste of the Eboost was okay. I had to add more water then the required 12 oz because it was a little gritty. The taste was not bad; not good but not bad. They claim to boost your mood, energy, focus and immunity with no crash. I felt fine afterwards I was already pretty energized so, it was hard to tell if this did anything. I guess I should have waited until I was either tired or upset. This appears to be a better alternative for those addicted to Red Bull.

The Quaker oatmeal was really good. At first it was kinda sweet so, I added more water. This kept me full for a very long time. After I ate it I noticed that it has 14 grams of sugar and aint nobody got no time for that! Even though I was impressed with the 8 grams of protein, the sugar scared me off. So, I will be sticking to my green smoothies and steel oats for now.

The Goody Quikstyle brush is suppose to cut drying time in half with it's absorbent microfiber bristles. This brush seems like a great idea for someone just not me. I only finger detangle my hair and then I air dry to limit the use of heat. I do not like brushing or combing wet hair. I did cautiously try this brush and thought it worked pretty well. I does soak up a lot of water. Even though, I will continue to finger detangle and air dry I do think some people may love this. I honestly plan to use it on my dog because I think this will be an awesome dog brush.

Lastly, if you would like to try Sole Society as well then you can get $25 off your first purchase too. Use code INFLUENSTER25. This code expires January 31, 2013so, hurry.

Influenster did sent me this Holiday VoxBox for free, but as always, all opinions are my own and HONEST.

Essie Nails

Hey Luv bugs,

I just finished painting my toe nails and I thought that I just have to share with you my new polish crush. So, I know I am so late on the Essie bandwagon but, Oh My Goodness I adore it. The color selection is wonderful and they apply great. Last week I did my nails and the color lasted four whole days before chipping. Now that is amazing especially since I wash my hands like a million times a day!

Check out some of my favorite colors below, the mint candy apple is the apple of my eye right now.

A Touch of Happiness

This is really a touch of happiness! I have to be honest I have never really been a fan of Nivea products. Oh but now, I am because I really love this body wash. It is called a Touch of happiness and with its orange blossom scent and bamboo essence it is a keeper!

Nivea at ShopStyle

Here is what Nivea says “Experience the happy sensation and energizing scent this nourishing NIVEA body wash gives you and your skin. This silky cream-gel with nourishing bamboo essence gives you incredibly soft skin while cleansing very mildly. Its indulging intense lathering formula is enriched with energizing orange blossom scent to awaken your senses.”

I say This is splendid it smells magnificent and you only need a little. My skin is super soft and again the citrus smell wakes you and makes you feel in high spirits.

Other products from this line (pictured at the bottom below)are Touch of Bliss, Touch of Sparkle, and Touch of Smoothness.

Let's go to the Bar

Say hello to my little friend, Lush's Trichomania Solid Shampoo!

I'm in complete lust with this shampoo bar. It makes my hair incredibly soft and it keeps my hair healthy and moisturized. It smells stupid delicious, and leaves my hair shiny, silky, and easier to style after I've used it. Another bonus as if I needed one is that the bar lasts forever. My only complaint is that it doesn't lather great but it lathers well enough To work up the best lather, rub the bar directly on your scalp.

Here is what Lush says: "
Coconut cream pie moisturizing shampoo for dry, curly hair
Dry, frizzy curls ruining your day? Don't fret. Treat your hair to our delicious, moisturizing shampoo designed for dry, curly hair and sun dried tresses. Creamed coconut gives this shampoo its unforgettable scent and makes your hair incredibly soft without added residue. Goodbye frizzy curls, hello yummy locks!"

It's all in the eyes

I had a $2.00 off coupon for any Rimmel Mascara and I chose Glam’Eyes Lash Flirt in black and I really like it. It lengthens and defines each lash and add tons of volume. The color comes on very intense, bold and kind of sexy it emphasizes my eyes a lot. I love the brush and the packaging as well. Glam’Eyes Lash Flirt does what is says and here is what Rimmel says:

Flirty seduction starts with fluttery lashes. NEW Glam’Eyes Lash Flirt Mascara creates a soft & separated, yet intensely black lash look, giving you lashes you can’t help but flaunt. 2X more intense kohl black pigments. Up to 80% longer lashes – perfectly defined, no clumps. The VolumFlex Brush grooms each and every lash to lengthen and separate lashes. Feather soft soufflé formula is oxygen permeable to allow lashes to breathe. Long lasting - Smudge and flake-proof

I give it 4 out of 5 Stilettos.

That is shocking!

I am a mascara whore, and I am relentlessly trying the latest ones and this is one of my favorite. I really love this mascara I love the brush on this one and It goes on nice and even it really defines your lashes. My lashes are super curly with lots of volume and this gave me more volume and lots of length.

So, Avon says this:

“Unique microfibers instantly expand and plump lashes to larger-than-life proportions...for head-turning drama in a flash. Up to 12x more volume...in a single step. Maximum amount of mascara in just one dip. Molded teal plastic fine combs separate lashes for a precise, bolder-than-ever look."

Regular price $8.50 and it is currently on sale for $4.99 click here to purchase.

I am such a LUSH!

A lush lover that is.

This mask is one of the first Lush products I ever brought and I’m hooked. I use this about 3 times a week and I am in love with it. Immediately, after washing this off my face I see instant results. My face is refreshed, softer, and brighter. Every single time I use this mask I get amazing results it never lets me down. This mask deep cleans and shrink my pores. It is not harsh at all. The smell is okay not bad but not great either. Lush has tons of great natural products but, this by far is my fave!

Clarisonic Clean

Introducing the Clarisonic!

I think I read every online review there is of this product before I decided to purchase it! Since it's so expensive (Retail value of $195.00), I wanted to be sure it was worthy. I'm a product (esp. skincare) junkie so I know my products and this is the best one to have!

I've been using the Clarisonic for about eight months now and my skin feels super clean! In general I think the product lives up to all its claims. Within the first week I noticed my skin had a smoother softer feel. I could run my hands over it and feel nothing but smoothness. The brush allows it to be highly effective while using a minimal amount of pressure. I use it twice a day with my face wash (Neutrogena). If you like your cleanser, then stick with it. I am not a fan of the cleanser that comes with it. I use the normal skin brush and use it as initially directed: 10 seconds on each cheek and 20 seconds on the forehead, nose, chin and neck.

My facial products (toner and creams) all absorb much better, allowing me to use less of the product. My toner especially feels like it's being absorbed deeper into my skin.

I can't recommend this product enough! It has changed my skincare regimen forever! The price is high, but your face is worth it.

Finally, GILT GROUP is having a Clarisonic event on August 14, 2009 (tomorrow) at NOON. Gilt group provides access, by invitation only, to Men’s, Women’s and Children’s coveted fashion and luxury brands at prices up to 70% off retail. First Come, First Served. I am curious to see how much they will offer this magic stick for. If you want one click on the link below to get invited.
