My February Curlbox Review

I received my CurlBox in the mail last week and I was not even expecting it so, it was a nice surprise. If you are not familiar with Curl Box it is a subscription box for women with curly hair. "CurlBox is an affordable, Exclusive and effortless way to explore new hair products. You can discover hand-selected curly hair products delivered to your doorstep every month. Every month subscribers receive 5-7 quality hair product samples for $20 per month."

I really enjoy this subscription box, I have not heard of a lot of the products that I receive so it is fun trying out new brands. Plus, I seem to ALWAYS need conditioner and these boxes always have a new conditioner to try!

Here is the box:

Cute packaging!

The Aunt Jackie's In Control conditioner is amaze balls and smells so freaking good. I have not had a chance to try the other products yet but, I am happy with this box. Curlbox is such a good value for the amount of products you get.

Black Girl Beauty Box January - Review

So,  I have not posted a review of my Black Girl Beauty Box in a while. Mostly, because I had a few painful issues with receiving them and etc. I received the January box on time with no issues!

Black Girl Beauty charges $20 a month and the products usually have about a $35 -$45 value. For reference, other boxes charge about $25 a month and the products have a value of about $80 - $100.

I like the packaging that they use it is always wrapped nicely. Here is the box:

The two Mary Kay products came in a little black pouch which I do not show in pic.

It is hard to put a value on the samples since they did not have the ounces listed. However, I have received these Sedu samples for free at I think Ulta. If I had to guess I would value the two Mary Kay products at about $10 total.

La Prairie Very Very Special Edition Glossybox

I have always wanted to try La Prairie products so, when I saw that Glossybox had a special edition La Prairie box I ordered it in seconds. This box sold out very quickly so, I am glad I wasted no time on this deal. If you are not familiar with La Prairie's products they are basically the bees knees! This special edition box retails for only $40 which is an awesome sauce good deal since most of their products are well over $100.

The box included two completely brand spanking new products never even seen before. A Cellular Swiss Ice Crystal Cream (retails for $300) and a Cellular Swiss Ice Crystal Dry Oil (also retails for $300). The box has a total of five 5 deluxe size samples of products, I mean these are really nice sized samples. I think I will get at least a month usage from this box.

The goods!

La prairie!!!

The box contained the below (descriptions are via glossybox.com) :
  • Cellular Swiss Ice Crystal Dry Oil (1.7 oz $300): This sheer, weightless dry oil instantly becomes one with your skin. By helping support your skin’s natural lipid barrier function, a combination of rare and pure oils in the Swiss Ice Crystal Complex seals moisture within your skin longer than ever thought possible. Your skin will glow, and look smooth and reborn. La Prairie has harvested the power of three near-miraculous survivalist plants to create a regenerative breakthrough – the Swiss Ice Crystal Complex. It can help protect your skin from environmental assault and climate trauma. The secrets within these plants can give your skin power it needs to put aging on ice.
  • Foam Cleanser (1.7 oz $300): Deeply cleanse and hydrate your skin while delicately removing all traces of makeup and surface impurities with our sumptuous Foam Cleanser. Natural plant extracts are at the heart of the water-activated mousse formula’s purifying and soothing action, which leaves the skin refreshed and smoothed. Perfect for all skin types.
  • Essence of Skin Caviar Eye Complex (0.5 oz $135): One drop is all it takes. Essence of Skin Caviar Eye Complex is like a mini eyelift. A lightweight, rapidly penetrating gel, it firms, nourishes and re-energizes the eye zone. Tone and texture improve. Fine lines and wrinkles fade away. The delicate skin around the eyes is hydrated and brightened, as signs of stress and fatigue melt away and imperfections are erased. Also acts as a primer so eye makeup stays on like a dream.
  • Cellular Refining Lotion (2.0 oz $95): Complete the cleansing process. Refresh your skin with Cellular Refining Lotion, an alcohol-free toner. It is formulated with gentle plant extracts for maximum hydration and to calm irritation. This rich lotion soothes and softens the skin, while flushing out the pores and helping to minimize their appearance.
  • Cellular Swiss Ice Crystal Cream (1.7 oz $300): This glistening, moisture-rich cream melts instantly into your skin, immediately helping to restore its youthful appearance. It works to fortify your skin’s resilience to life’s ever-increasing aging assaults. Biotechnology merges with nature as plant stem cells help renew the look of firmness and smooth the appearance of wrinkles. Luxurious hydration continuously drenches your skin from a water-reservoir deep within.

The total cost of the full size versions of these products comes up to about $1,130.00 so, to say this is a deal is an under statement! Only fear I have is that I will get hooked on one of these products then what??

My Review of the Crown Brush HD Set - #crownbrush

I was sent these brushes from iFabbo to review and I was thrilled because I needed a new brush set. Crown is new to me and after some research I found out they have been around for over 30 years.

As you can see the brush set comes in three different colors, I received the six piece set in orange. It contains 6 different size brushes a mirror, tweezers all in a cute zipper case. The brushes are 100% vegan and are very sturdy high quality.

The brush set includes:
Detail Liner, Chisel Shadow, Crease Blender, Deluxe Contour, Tapered Blush, and Pro Powder and tweezers.

I think my fave of the set is the tapered blush the size is perfect which makes for easy application. My second favorite would the tweezers, these are nice tweezers. Overall, I liked the brush set I did not experience any shedding and they are very soft.

Overall, these is a great brush set for a beginner like me!

Aw, the dreaded holiday shopping time of year. For some finding the perfect gifts can be a challenge. For me, my challenge is getting you a gift without getting one for myself too! We all have our issues. Anywho, when gifting you just gonna think outside the box and its easy.

I love drinking, especially drinking out of fancy sancy glasses. I am the chick who drinks water from wine glasses only and must have a saucer with my tea cup.

Today, dedicated to the fancy drinkers in your life.
