April Curlbox Review

Curlbox is quickly becoming my fave subscription! It always shows up on time with NO issues and has tons of products so, you really feel like you get your monies worth.

This month was all about Pantene. I have never been a Pantene Fan nothing against them just for some reason I never brought their products. So, this was exciting for me to get to try them.

So far, I have tried the 2 minute hair masque and I LOVE IT!! It is for real the best! On the other hand I was not a fan of the defining curl styling custard it made my hair sticky and gummy feeling. Oh and the hair shine serum was nice, it gave a good amount of shine without looking oily. 

I have yet to try the others so, time will tell.

Even Glow Serum – Antioxidant Skin Treatment – 20% Vitamin C by Valentia Skin Care Review

I have been searching for a new product that evens my skin tone (stupid hyperpigmentation)  so, I was up for the challenge when asked to review Even Glow Serum. 

Serums are my boo thangs and this one would be no exceptions. So, first I was pleased with the packing which is a dark eye dropper bottle. Second, the smell was so pleasant. This serum is thicker than some vitamin C serums but, that was nice since a lot are watery. It applies very smoothly and absorbs quickly with no tacky feel, I hate that tacky feel.  I started to see an improvement in hydration within the first two days. My skin just drinks this stuff up! I have been using for about 6 days so, no change yet with my fine lines. However, my GLOW is amazing. People keep asking me why I am glowing.

Dry Brushing is My New Boo

So, I found this You Tube channel for Ashely's Green life and it/she is my new obsession. All of her video's are so informative. 

It all started with my dry brushing curiosity. I saw some great results 


Benefits of dry brushing:

• Sloughs away dry skin.
• Promotes cell renewal, tighter skin, and blood flow. 
• Release toxins and which aids in digestion and kidney function. 
• And, much more.

This crap feels amazing especially in the morning before I had my coffee. It really gets my blood flowing. It is super easy to do you basically brush upwards on dry skin! The back is a little tricky I brush from my neck down. I shower right afterwards to wash away all the dead skin cells. 

I started about two maybe two and a half months ago and my skin looks tighter and feels smoother.

Curl Box - Review March!

March came and went like a flash! A super fun tropical vacation, 3 loved ones Birthday celebrations, and some much needed quality family time later I finally have my March Curl Box review.

Curl Box has become one of my favorite subscription box services lately.

Perfect Perfected!

Carol's Daughter is a long time favorite of mine especially their body sprays. The products that I received are part of their new affordable, EXCLUSIVE line for Target.  All full size, (which curl box does a lot) from the Scared Tiare line. 

This is a fortifying line the is anti breakage, anti frizz and sulfate free. The box contains a shampoo, conditioner, leave in conditioner, styling cream and a sample of their hair milk which is super moisturizing.

I have not have a chance yet to try these products but, I can not wait to try these.

Caramel Matchaccino Review

Naturally, I made mine HOT HOT HOT cause it is COLD COLD COLD outside. The flavor is very subtle not overwhelming at all. You can taste the green tea and the caramel. I added a little tiny bit of sugar to mine and it was perfect.

My February Curlbox Review

I received my CurlBox in the mail last week and I was not even expecting it so, it was a nice surprise. If you are not familiar with Curl Box it is a subscription box for women with curly hair. "CurlBox is an affordable, Exclusive and effortless way to explore new hair products. You can discover hand-selected curly hair products delivered to your doorstep every month. Every month subscribers receive 5-7 quality hair product samples for $20 per month."

I really enjoy this subscription box, I have not heard of a lot of the products that I receive so it is fun trying out new brands. Plus, I seem to ALWAYS need conditioner and these boxes always have a new conditioner to try!

The Aunt Jackie's In Control conditioner is amaze balls and smells so freaking good. I have not had a chance to try the other products yet but, I am happy with this box. Curlbox is such a good value for the amount of products you get.

Influenster J'adore Voxbox Review

I am always thrilled when Influenster contacts me about VoxBoxes. So I was happy to hear that I was selected to receive one of the J'adore VoxBox boxes! This was suppose to be a Valentine's Day treat however, due to the crazy weather we have experienced my box just arrived yesterday.

• Boots Botanics Shine Away Iconic Clay Mask ($9.39): I will never and have never be sad about a new mask to try. I enjoy clay masks for a deep clean so, I am excited to try this one. I have mentioned before how shiny I can get so the "shine away" has me curious.
• Hershey’s KISSES Milk Chocolates ($6.29): xoxo Hershey KISSES are a favorite to many. With their cute size and packaging what is not to love. This is a large bag I am going to share the kisses!
• Frizz Ease 3-Day Straight Flat Iron Spray ($9.95): I just saw this in Target the other day. I heard good things about it and am curious so, on my next wash day I will give this a go.
• KISS Looks So Natural Lashes ($3.99):  I am excited to try these. I have only tried false lashes once and it was fun. On my next date night, if I remember I will try these out. The do really look super natural. These are available at Target and Walmart. 
• Red Rose Simple Indulgent Teas ($4.99 for a Box of 20): I love tea and these tea bags were no exception. Oh, this smells so good it was like having a dessert. I will for sure buy these.

Black Girl Beauty Box January - Review

So,  I have not posted a review of my Black Girl Beauty Box in a while. Mostly, because I had a few painful issues with receiving them and etc. I received the January box on time with no issues! 

Black Girl Beauty charges $20 a month and the products usually have about a $35 -$45 value. For reference, other boxes charge about $25 a month and the products have a value of about $80 - $100.

I like the packaging that they use it is always wrapped nicely. Here is the box:

The two Mary Kay products came in a little black pouch which I do not show in pic.

• Cargo Swimmables Eye Pencil in Teal - Retail $18 Full Size
• Cuccio Nail Color in A Kiss in Paris - Retail $9 Full Size
• Sedu Anti-Frizz Polishing Treatment with Moroccan Argan Oil - I received two small samples of this. However, full size is 1oz for $16
• Mary Kay Make up remover sample size however, full size is $15
• Mary Kay Mascara sample size however, full size is $15

It is hard to put a value on the samples since they did not have the ounces listed. However, I have received these Sedu samples for free at I think Ulta. If I had to guess I would value the two Mary Kay products at about $10 total.

La Prairie Very Very Special Edition Glossybox

I have always wanted to try La Prairie products so, when I saw that Glossybox had a special edition La Prairie box I ordered it in seconds. This box sold out very quickly so, I am glad I wasted no time on this deal. If you are not familiar with La Prairie's products they are basically the bees knees! This special edition box retails for only $40 which is an awesome sauce good deal since most of their products are well over $100.

The box included two completely brand spanking new products never even seen before. A Cellular Swiss Ice Crystal Cream (retails for $300) and a Cellular Swiss Ice Crystal Dry Oil (also retails for $300). The box has a total of five 5 deluxe size samples of products, I mean these are really nice sized samples. I think I will get at least a month usage from this box.

Chic on the Cheap

I know is it hard to tell with all the snow but, spring is really coming. As I type this I have on my snow boots with about three layers of clothes and; I am looking out at mountains of snow piles but, my mind is on spring.
