I got my April Glossy Box!

I love when I come home and this is sitting on my door step. It brightens my day just that much more. Even when I am not impressed by its contents I still love the "surprise" of it all. 

Glossy never disappoints with it's packaging! Seriously, it is always on point and the pink boxes really come in handy for so many things. 

This month's theme is Work That Beauty and it meant to provide products that will help you out after a long winter. The glossy magazine is online for this month only (for Earth Day) but, in my opinion they should do this every month. It was not missed.

Here is the box.

The box contained the following:

This the same item I received in the Man Repeller Box a few months back (side eye). Also, Glossy includes a $75 "gift" towards your purchase of the Replenishing Daily Solution. Slow your roll because this pricey cream will be still be $150 with your code.

This tea bag does smell good I believe it is the same scent as the Bvlgari soap from my February Box. I have yet to use this but I am sure it will be nice.

I like Alterna products. I did use this and liked it a lot however, my waves were short lived.

This is was a total disappointment. It stinks something bad; it states it is Coffee Mint scented. I honestly think it smells like medicine. I love the smell of coffee however, I really doesn't need to smell like it. I tired this and found the packaging difficult to use (the bottle was so hard to squeeze). It did not lather well and it was not invigorating at all. Sorry Joe this is not for me.

This blush is pretty shade (Haute) and does provide that GLOW. However, again the packaging was horrible. It took me a minute to even get this open.

As you can see my dog like this, I however did not. I just did not moisturize like my trusty Rosebud.

I can't say was thrilled about anything in this month's box but, I am still excited for next month's!

Dreaming of Polka Dotted Jeans

So, my sister texted me a picture of these new jeans she got and, I was immediately in love. She has the cutest pair of polka dot jeans. I just had to have a pair. I like polka dots as you can see here and here. I prefer my polka dots on the smaller side but, the larger ones are cute too.

Product Review - Mario Badescu's Enzyme Revitalizing Mask

I think I may have admitted before that I love facials masks. Mario Badescu's products are usually reliable if you want results. Enter the Enzyme Revitalizing mask. This is an Alpha Hydroxy mask with Papaya and Grapefruit Extracts. 

Here is what Mario Badescu says:

"Hydrate And Revitalize Skin. This product is a moisture intensive Alpha Hydroxy mask ideal for dull, dry or mature skin. Papaya and Grapefruit Extracts are the natural exfoliants blended with antioxidant Vitamin A and E oils giving the skin a refreshed, glowing appearance."

Here is what I say:

This is DOES everything is promises. Whenever my face is looking dull I use this baby and bang bang my skin comes to life. Seriously, in 20 mins I have a glow and  my face is hydrated. This is gentle enough to use more than twice a week which is the recommended usage. I honestly have used this daily in the harsh winter months when my face is feeling dry and lackluster. 

This mask has definitely landed a permanent place in my beauty stash.

 So, it is that time again 5 things. 

1. I have a little baby boy Maltese named Nico and he is CRAZY but, super fun. Although, he is like a newborn since he hardly ever sleeps all night. But, who could get mad at that face.
2. I am seriously addicted to Pinterest more specifically, the health food boards. Salad Jars are GENIUS!
3. I have a girl crush on Channing in the City, she is so cute and I love her stories and writing style.
4. I am a proud home owner since I was 21 years young. Buying a home is such a great achievement and it is almost paid off, yea buddy.
5. I watch The Jefferson's every single day. I MAKE time for it and I laugh so hard. I love George and in my mind he is my uncle (RIP). They don't make TV sitcoms like that anymore. It was so hard to pick my fave clip but, I tired. Enjoy!

OWN Renewing Firming Silk Serum - Review

I was recently given the opportunity to try OWN's Firming Silk Concentrate Serum. Now, I love me some serum it is a step in my daily beauty routine that I never ever skip. I was thrilled to try this one because check out what OWN says from their site below:

This serum only has four you heard right FOUR ingredients which is very interesting.

Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Coco-Caprylate, Conjugated Linoleic Acid*, Tocopherol 

I am no scientist but, I believe at least two of those that something to do with some coconut. 

This bottle is huge compared to other serums and I love the eye dropper application.

I love the packing and packing can be a deal breaker for me. The directions say to apply it while skin is still moist from cleansing. It has been almost two weeks and I have applied it every morning and night to my face and neck. I noticed that my skin appears slightly more firm and super soft. I can not say I appear brighter as promised but I am still satisfied with my results thus far. Plus, it is states that you will see results after 8 weeks so, I have a way to go. They have quite a few other products in their line such as an eye cream that I have been eying. Best part is OWN is very budget friendly (with prices from $11.99) and available at Ulta.com.
