Flaws no more r3p - Dr Brandt

I was excited to try this product because, I am a fan of dr. brandt products. Flaws no more r3p cream is suppose to diminish the appearance of deep lines and wrinkles. Now, I should mention I don’t have either but, I still expected to get a snatched look from this cream or at least a noticeable firmness.

This pricey cream smelled good kinda like a sweet yogurt and feels good on your skin. I used this consistently every night and noticed no change at ALL. r3p is moisturizing and my skin soaked it up nicely but, that sadly was about it.

This will not make my reorder list especially at $125.00 a jar I am moving on.

Zoya

I was able to try out Zoya's new polish called Pixie Dust in Nyx and I am in love. This is a must have for sure. It manages to pull off matte and super sparkle at the same damn time.

Application is key no base or top coat is required. I used three coats for full coverage. You must let this fully dry between layers. The below pics are after three days of wear and no chipping at all.

Check it out.

The picturces really don't this nail polish any justice. Just be careful since, it is textured I almost scratched my eye ball the other day, lol.

This line will be available February 1st.

Skin Care Tip #124

Be cool and wear your shades.

Seriously, wear some sunglasses. The sun makes you squint and squinting causes wrinkles.... see where I am going here. I have no scientific proof that this is true but, it makes sense in my head. Just like they say drinking out of a straw a lot or smoking causes wrinkles around your mouth.  So, just to be on the safe side wear shades. Plus you will look fancy as all get out.

Skin Care Tip #2

Next to sunscreen, I don't play around about my eye cream. If you are at home waiting around for some wrinkles to show up before you start using eye cream (or any anti aging product) then slap yourself and repeat. Seriously, it is so much easier to PREVENT than TREAT. From fine lines, bags, dark circles and puffiness there is an eye cream out there for it.

Some of my soldiers are below:

ROC Multi Correxion Lift $25

AVON ANew Genics eye treatment $36

Clinique all about eyes RICH $30
Peter Thomas Roth Power K Eye Rescue $100

Don't know where to start? Well look for an eye cream with amped up moisture and loads of Vitamins (especially vitamin C). And please Louise read the directions. I cannot stress this enough! If the product says use your ring finger then use it (that finger is the weakest one so you won't damage the delicate skin around your eyes). And, if it says only use on under eye area only LISTEN. And please don't use your regular face cream under on your eye area this can irrate it and cause dark circles.

So, what are your favorite eye creams?

Tuxedo pants

Baby, its cold outside so put on some pants! If you gonna put on some pants don't reach for some pants grab you some tuxedo pants. The dark stripe on the sides not makes your legs look longer but, they are slimming as well.
I am the lucky owner of the blue with the black leather panel on the side and the white with a black sequin panel.

J. Lo never disappoints but her make up was my favorite part of her look. She looked flawless.

Nite Nite

We have been looking for a new bed for about six months now. I honestly do not know what is taking me so long to commit to one but it is taking me forever. I just want it to be over with!.

What I do know is that without a doubt I want a tufted upholstered bed. The theme for my remodeled bedroom is romance and tufted beds scream romance. My main issue is deciding on a color. I love the lighter colored fabric but am so afraid it will get dirty. Here are my faves below:

Aren't they pretty?

First BB Cream Now, CC Cream!

BB creams are all the rage. BB creams are basically an all in one product where you can get skin care and color in one product.

The first BB cream I ever tried was the Maybelline Dream fresh in Deep ($7) and I was not impressed. It made me look so washed out and ashy.
Impressed that this one has SPF30
So, when Iman Cosmetics came out with a BB cream ($20) I was hopeful. I had a hard time finding the right color but ended up with Clay Medium Deep.

Only SPF15 so I used my CeraVe underneath

Very creamy and perfect match color wise

Blended perfect and feels very lightweight

So, I really like this product. I think it is very moisturizing and has great coverage. It melted into my skin very nicely I did set it with my Mac Blot powder. However, I feel like it may be too moisturizing for my oily skin but gives a nice dewy glow. I noticed I have been oilier than usually since I have been wearing it. Don't fret I keep my oil blotting paper on stand by. I should mention that I don't wear foundation at all so, to me this is provides nice coverage for small imperfections. Overall, I give this 4 stars out of five.

I have been hearing a lot about CC creams recently. CC creams are color control creams and are really just a pumped up BB cream. What I like is that they promise higher SPF's and better coverage with more nourishing ingredients.

Olay has one under their total effects line. I am sure more copies will follow suit soon. So, what do you think? Is BB for you?

Skin Care Tip #122

One of the most important tips I could ever give anyone is to wear Sunblock. I cringe when I hear someone say they do not wear sunblock. I have been wearing sunblock since I was 16years old. I started with Oil of Olay (back then that was their name, now they are just Olay). Having oily skin as I do, it was a challenge to find a sunblock that does not make me look like I was just swimming in an oil spill. I prefer to only use a sunblock that has protection for both UVA and UVB rays. To help keep it straight just remember like this UVA the "A" stands for aging and UVB the "B" stands for burning so, you want protection from both.

My dermatologist advised me to wear at least a SPF30 every day and SPF50 if I plan to be outside most of the day. Make sure you use enough sunblock as well. The recommended amount is about one ounce which is about a shot glass. If you use less then you are not protected. Also, as a general rule you should reapply every two hours.

Cera Ve' is my favorite:

Available at any drugstore for around $11. My skin loves this stuff however, keep in mind everyone's skin reacts different to products so you have to find the best for your skin type.

Kiss Nail Dress

Over the Holiday break I received a VoxBox from Influenster that I talked about here. As promised I said I would try out the Kiss Nail Dress later because I had a fresh mani at the time. Well later arrived...

I wasn't in love with the print. I like animal prints however, I am not a HUGE fan of them maybe as just an accent nail design. However, the gold undertones on these were gorg. I love the Sally Hansen Version of these so, I just knew I would like this.

But, sorry I did not! I found these very hard to apply. I have small fingers and a lot of them had overlaps on the side of my nail bed that I had to cut. Also, the file that came with these to file off the excess was very harsh on my natural nails. I did follow the directions to a tee and applied to clean nails. However, four days later they are peeling back at the tip and the stickiness underneath is getting stuck on everything. So, I really doubt I will make it anywhere near the ten days it promises.

I more I looked at them the more I started to love the print. I still have quite a few left over for my toes so maybe they will like these better.
